We are delighted to be offering you the chance to win a two or three week holiday for two people to Atlantic Canada in a very special 20th Anniversary Grand Prize Draw.

The holiday is to a cabin located in Port Blandford, Newfoundland. Port Blandford is a small coastal village adjacent to Terra Nova National Park and an Atlantic Championship golf course with 18 and 9 hole courses. The cabin is located at the estuary of the South West salmon river and at the right time of year you can watch the salmon running or even fish for them (licence required).

The cabin is owned by the family of a pupil at Paces School, it is a private home from home and is not a commercial rental. The region offers lots of opportunities to see some amazing wildlife, to date visitors to the cabin have seen:

Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Sea Otters, Moose (they like the apple blossom), Caribou, Lynx Cat, Whales, Seals, Squirrels and Black Bears (not actually on the property!).

Starry skies are almost a nightly event with amazing views of the Milky Way and there are more breathtaking Coastal Fishing Hamlets than you can shake a stick at!

The cabin is moderately remote, approx 2hrs by car from St John's Airport, but is equipped with all modern facilities you would expect of a self catering facility. However there is no telephone, WiFi or TV. WiFi is readily available in the nearby town of Clarenville (25 minute drive). This town has supermarkets, restaurants, hospital etc, a Tim Hortons (coffee and doughnuts at a fraction of the price you might pay in the UK).

Some important rules...

  • The prize includes return air tickets for two people from Gatwick to St John's between May and October with Westjet. The cost of checked baggage and seat reservations are NOT included
