Support Paces Outreach Programme…

Paces early years outreach provision is much sought after and highly valued by families of children aged 0-3 with cerebral palsy and other motor disorders.

Our Outreach Conductor encourages children to develop basic motor, sensory and self-help skills, enabling them to gain the greatest benefits for long term development - by learning how to overcome their physical challenges at an early age, a child's future learning becomes less challenging.

A key part of our Outreach provision is to help families understand their child's condition, and to equip them with the skills and confidence to support their child in the most beneficial way.  One family explains their experience following their little girl’s traumatic entry into the world:

“Lilia first began having outreach with our amazing Conductor in June 2015 for one hour per week at our home. Conductive Education has changed our lives as it has given us hope that our lovely Daughter might have some independence one day”.

Families of children with cerebral palsy and other motor disorders often don't know where to turn for help. They may feel isolated, powerless or depressed, so a key role for the Outreach Conductor and our Family Support Team is to enable them to cope by offering practical information and advice, whilst also providing emotional support.

Our Family Support Team also enables parents to come together to share experiences, pass on vital knowledge, and to provide mutual support to one another.

A donation of £30 enables our Outreach Conductor to visit a family in their home, ensuring that more children are supported to get the best start in life, and that families are supported to sustain their child's ongoing development.

By pledging your support to our Outreach Programme, you will be making a contribution towards our target of £18,000 – this amount covers an entire year of specialist outreach that supports around eight children and their families, enabling them to benefit from our unique way of working.
