Paces School has been awarded a £10,000 grant for new equipment to support pupils.
The donation came from the Province of Yorkshire, West Riding Freemasons and was accepted by Chief Executive Spencer Pitfield and Trustee Norma Brindley at an event this month.
Ruth Liu, Paces School Headteacher, said:
“We are now in our 21st year which means some of our equipment is very old and in need of being replaced. This donation will help us to do just that so we have the latest equipment which will support and enhance our unique Conductive Education programme which allows young people to receive the best start in life.”
Dr Spencer Pitfield OBE, Paces Chief Executive, added:
“We are grateful to receive support from both the Department of Education and Local Authorities for our school core curriculum. But this funding is not always enough for some of the extra school equipment we need to give our pupils the best opportunities. This donation will make a big difference to that aim and I would like to thank everyone who contributed to such a sizeable donation”.
We are proud to be able to launch our new Befriending Service.
Our Families4Families Befriending Service has been made possible by a generous grant from The Henry Smith Charity, and it aims to help and support parents and carers of physically disabled children across the region through a network of experienced parents, carers and grandparents.
