David Idle Chair of Trustees

David has operated in the Information Technology industry for over 20 years, working on national and multinational projects within the Fortune 500 and FSTE 100 companies. His focus areas include technology, security, transformation and change management of a business, with extensive experience within the Retail, Healthcare, Manufacturing and Sales Industries.
David has a Master of Science Degree and a Bachelor’s Science Degree from Sheffield Hallam University. Before embarking on an Information Technology career, David served in the British Army for over ten years.

Scott Sanderson

Scott is Partner at Hawsons Chartered Accountants in Sheffield, joining the firm in 2000. At Hawsons, Scott is responsible for looking after the firm’s healthcare and medical sector clients and managing a general commercial portfolio of clients.
Since 2014, Scott has also served as a trustee and is the deputy chair of SheffCare, a local charity operating several care homes across Sheffield and chairs the audit committee as part of this role.
Away from the office, Scott is a fair-weather golfer and avid supporter of Sheffield Wednesday. Scott usually spends his weekends chauffeuring his two sons around the region to sporting events.

Harry Withers

Harry moved to Sheffield in 2017 to study at university, earning a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in education. Since then, he has benefitted from attending Paces' sessional services, having participated in conductive education sessions across the UK and Hungary for 20 years prior.
Now working in a communications role promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, Harry has been a school governor at Paces since January 2020, became a charity ambassador in March 2021 and joined the Trustee Board in April 2022.
When not working, Harry enjoys travelling and keeping active by playing wheelchair basketball.

Alison Roy

Alison has over 25 years of experience working in the higher education sector in various professional services roles, including managing staff and students.
Experienced in change and project management, and as a qualified Programme/Project Manager, Alison has previously and currently worked on a number of strategic projects with senior staff across different universities, covering people, estates and IT projects. With over ten years of school governance experience, Alison was a founding member and Director of Lound Academy Trust and worked with several organisations to transfer the Lound Schools across to the Steel City Schools Partnership portfolio.
Alison also holds a Masters’s degree in Education and is experienced in Project Management, Change Management and Higher Education.

Gail Sutton

Gail joined High Green Development Trust in High Green in October 2021 as Campus Manager and is part of a leadership team to drive change in making a difference in the community.
Her role is to lead the site and services operational development and delivery, ensuring safety & health compliance across the 5 acres. Gail has worked in retail operations, marketing & brand management, learning & development for over 30 years, and property management for the last eight years, primarily within low-cost business models. Her focus areas include site development; safety, health & well-being; learning & development and sustainability.
Gail is particularly passionate about taking a team on a journey for personal and professional development and working in partnership with occupiers, contractors and volunteers. Outside work, she is committed to improving herself through personal development; she is an avid reader, puzzler and gardener. While also being a chief taster for her personal chef, her husband, who creates wonderful culinary delights and mum to Frankie, a very mischievous, one-year-old girl named Bedlington Whippet.
