Opened in March 2021, Paces @ Smithywood is the new home for our Conductive Living Adult Services and Charity Operations.
Less than two miles from the current site, the base is directly off the M1 at junction 35, provides 8,000 square feet of space and will allow Paces Conductive Living Adult Services to grow and support three times as many adults in the future.
It will mean more places for more individuals, who will be able to easily access the facility from across South Yorkshire and beyond as well as providing an improved space to offer conductive education sessions. These sessions improve the mobility of those who have acquired brain injuries – such as through a Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis or Parkinson’s.
In time, Paces will also develop a service for young adults between 18-25 to ensure the organisation can offer the best possible care for those who need it, no matter their age.
The Smithy Wood site will also be the new home for the charity’s staff.
