Community School Governors Needed: Think Big!
#PinkArmy
Here at Paces School for Conductive Education, we are ambitious for our pupils, families and staff.
We need volunteers with energy and ideas to join our experienced Governor team, helping to guide the school’s development and to be champions for our children.
Paces is a lively school with 48 pupils located in High Green. However, we have great plans to move to our new location at Thorncliffe Hall, just a mile from the current location. The school is improving fast under the leadership of our Headteacher, Ruth Liu, and her very capable team. We are currently rated Good by Ofsted and have a solid vision to take the school forward.
Please go to www.paces-school.org.uk for more information about our school.
We seek new people to join our school governing board who can contribute their time, enthusiasm, skills and ideas. No previous experience is necessary as training will be provided.
We are committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive school community where everyone’s views are represented, and everyone has a voice. Currently, we seek Community representatives as we already have fantastic support from our Parent Governors. Having previous links with the school or any prior experience is not necessary. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone with education experience.
Governors carry out one of the most important and rewarding jobs in education and are drawn from all walks of life, with each bringing their own unique skills and experience to the role. It is essential to have an open, enquiring mind to have the confidence to ask questions and debate issues that affect our school and a willingness to get involved with a wide range of supporting activities.
This is a voluntary role, and we recognise the commitment it takes. We will find ways to support special requirements needed to enable people to participate in the governance of our school.
If you would like to hear more about this role, please call our school office on 0114 2845298.
