Jack’s Family Sponsor a Classroom at Paces School
#PinkArmy
Jack Mitchell, who attends our Adult Day provision, has attended Paces since he was just six months old, and when his family found out that they could sponsor a classroom to help with our fundraising, they immediately wanted to get involved.
Jack’s dad, Ian Mitchell, said:
“Paces has been such a massive part of Jack’s and our family’s life for over 20 years since he was born in 2002. As parents coming to terms with having a disabled child and what the future would hold for our family, Paces guided us through very difficult times. Jack has benefited enormously from the Conductive Education approach, which has helped him become a more independent and confident young man.
“Jack now attends college three days a week and Paces Adult Services two days a week, and our family wanted to help the school and future pupils and parents in the way we were helped, so the most natural thing to do was to sponsor Jack’s old classroom, Windsor Class, in the fantastic new school and feel proud that we have helped in a small way.”
Julie Booth, Head of Fundraising and Communications at Paces, said:
“We simply cannot thank Jack and his family enough for the incredible support which they have given to Paces by sponsoring a classroom in our new school. Donations like these mean that we can continue to change the lives of the children, adults and families who come to Paces”.
